The iPod Touch 2G Jailbreak:

I've decided to keep all of you iPod Touch 2G Users up to date on the Jailbreak. From the looks of it, this jailbreak should be arriving very soon. The website, (www.redsn0w.com), has a picture of some sort. In the center of this picture, you will see a black circle with some sort of writing inside. This is the iPod Touch 2G processor. At the top, you will see a code. This is a password that allows them to jailbreak the device..

*UPDATE* 1/14/09- They have jailbroken the iPod Touch 2G! Now they are just creating a GUI, (Graphical User Interface), in english, they are making a program to use this with. So it will be easier for other people to use. This should be out VERY soon!

Hey guys, just another update. One of the iPhone Dev Team's member's, (Musclenerd), has released two new video's on his Qik page, One of them is the demo for the well anticipated program, "redsn0w", and the second is the follow up, which is just answering some of the questions of many iPod Touch 2G owners. As of today, (1/18/09, 6:53 PM Eastern Time), there has been no official release date fo the GUI, or the program that can be easily used. Well, at least not to the public.. But, there are rumors of the jailbreak being released later today. The only problem was that the redsn0w program, is currently tethered to the computer, and this means that everytime you turn off your 2nd Generation iPod Touch, you have to connect it to a computer with the redsnow program on it. The second problem is that many people have been curious as to why Musclenerd hasnt released the redn0w program, even though it must be connected to the computer everytime you reboot it, if it were released, many people would be angry to find this out. Well, people say, "Well, they should include it in the agreement, that way if the people using it get angry, they cannot take it out on the Dev Team". I was thinking the same thing, but then I figured out, that since the redsn0w program carries along an Apple code. It cannot be released because 1) It is against the rules. And 2) It is AGAINST THE LAW!!!
